The original store opened in downtown Red Deer in the spring of 2002. It was obvious from the start, this was no small town shoe store. Specializing in styles that make you say WOW, Great Strides has become synonymous with fabulous footwear, handbags and accessories. A word of warning, wearing a pair of shoes or boots from Great Strides may generate an extraordinary number of compliments for the wearer.
Each item is hand selected by the owner so you are guaranteed to find something as special as you are at Great Strides. We believe beautiful shoes do not have to be uncomfortable so indulge your fashion whims without sacrificing comfort. Great Strides carries styles in women’s size 5 to 11 in narrow, medium and wide widths.
To celebrate our 10th anniversary in business, Great Strides Fine Shoes opened a second location in Lethbridge, Alberta. In addition, our on-line shop, fineshoes.ca now enables lovers of fabulous shoes from all across Canada to experience what Great Strides has to offer.
